470 Spinnaker Bags

We always wanted to sail fast, and in 470 this was particularly difficult, since the international level of the fleet has been crazy high in these decades. Hence the first thing we wanted out of our spinnaker bags, was being extra light.

Then a wider and longer design allowed crews to store the spinnaker faster, when lowering it, and a transparent pocket was added, in order to see our small notebook while steering (we used that for wind shifts azimuth).

Starting Lami Red and developing this product on the tailoring side, we designed a rugged PVC coated net for the bottom, to discharge the water that comes in from the deck; provided the bags with four pockets in total: two in the front with velcro closure, one being transparent, two long ones on the mast side to store the emergency rescue line, or the halyards.
